The ideas may seem contradictory at first glance, insisting Africa focuses on itself to drive development by using its own human capital and resources while emphasizing the importance of a global market place with liberal policies. Africa should seek to drive the agenda.

What is at stake is the way Africa has assumed a secondary position as its default. The argument for Africa is that there is a group of powers that be, and it is unlikely such powers will let Africa have its way on the global stage. This we believe, is a false assumption and with the right training the course of Africa can change.
